What is Eventing?
Eventing is often described as the equestrian triathlon. Horse and rider compete together in three distinct phases: dressage, cross-country, and show jumping. Dressage tests precision, balance, and communication between horse and rider. Cross-country challenges bravery and endurance as pairs navigate a course of solid obstacles over varied terrain. Finally, show jumping requires careful accuracy and control to clear a course of fences without faults. Together, these phases showcase the versatility, athleticism, and partnership that make eventing one of the most exciting disciplines in equestrian sport.
